Acacia

Acacia has become one of the most sought after exotic species available because of its rich texture and graining. The golden hues and color variation make Acacia a superior choice for the entire home. The depth, color range and grain of Acacia easily compare to much more expensive products. Acacia grows in some of the most arid and hostile areas of Southeast Asia, Africa, India and Australia. With an environment this tough it is no surprise that it is 28% harder than Oak with a Janka hardness rating of 1750. Acacia resists warping, carking, and cupping better than most finished woods.
